Is it an A518? 500? What?

The 5.9 Motor has the 46RE Trans.

Is it like a 727? a 904? What?

its like the 727 with od in tail housing and a lock up converter.the 46re responds to mods just like the old 727. i have a trans-go shift kit in my 46re works great. just crank a little line pressure in it, not to much or it will set a code in the computer.i did two turns out counter clockwise and no codes.
