Might be a silly question

Just read the thread about replacing a hub and it got me thinking. Are the axles or hubs from the 1st gen durangos the same as the 2nd gen? I know first gen had the 6x4.5 hubs but the new ones have the 5bolt pattern. Could you simply swap them out? As for the rears would you have to change the axles? If so are can you swap those?

Changing the front axle shafts won't change the bolt pattern...pattern is in the wheel hub/bearing.

I doubt the rear axle shafts are the same length to be interchangeable.
