Im having a problem shifting from 1st to 2nd (only when flooring it), the truck gets to about 5200rpm then hits the revlimiter and doesnt shift so i have to let off the gas and get back on it to shift, it shifts fine when i am driving normal though. someone on here a while back told me to adjust the throttle valve cable and i did that, and i got it to finally shift, but then it just felt like it had absolutely no power, it used to burn out bad if i floored it from a redlight, now it just hooks up perfect doesnt squeek at all and it just pretty much moves like a turtle, then after a while it started to not shift again and still have no power so i put the throttle valve cable about half way, it has more power now but still sluggish taking off, no where near how it felt stock... if u guys could give me some thoughts of what u think the problem is with the shifting, please do, and also if u could tell me around where i should keep the throttle valve cable, i had it all the way in and it would pull hard but it was shifting hard driving normal so i put it back to the middle so it shifted normal... i just want the truck to shift right and pull hard, if u can help me please do, thanks...

Gotta move it in small increments...real small.

Keep moving it in (essentially shortening the cable) until it gets real close to, or hits, the rev limiter for a WOT shift then back it off about half of what you adjusted it last.

Leaving the cable out all the way isn't good for the trans, you're making it pull a higher gear which loads the engine and creates alot of heat in the trans.
