MRS & I have been married now, today, August 6th, for 9 solid years! it's been nothing short of rough, but we've managed!

to celebrate with the family, yesterday we took our little girls to the Natural History Museum in DC. they chose that one cuz of the movie Night at the Museum and wanted to see an Easter Island Head LOL we took their pic in front of it.

tonight is dinner alone out at a nice romantic restaurant

you're right. every single friend we have who has been married at the age we were (i was 20 he was 21 cuz we got married between our bdays) has been divorced already. we're the only ones we know who are still together & in love.

we were high school sweeties, met at age 16. it also turns out that my name IS our song.....we didnt realize til after we were married. our song is Lady In Red. well, last name is Vermillion, a shade of red and my name Donna is Lady in Italian.

after we were married, another revelation: we'd actually met at age 7-8 briefly at an old amusement park, now closed down. it seems we went the same day with our families and remember playing with each other.

thanks everyone! we went to a great restaurant last night La Scala in Little Italy in Baltimore....

we shared an appetizer that was 4 pcs skinned eggplant rolled up like manicotti, stuffed with ricotta in a tomato basil sauce. so very very light we felt like we hadn't eaten yet!!

jimi had Veal with fresh tomatoes smothered in mozzerella & lump crab with 2 large gulf shrimp in a tasty white wine sauce

i had penne with lump crabmeat (may as well have been a crabcake there was so much) and 2 lobster tails that were fat as all get out! had fresh parm on top in a sherry cream tomato sauce.

we each had a Gin cocktail before dinner, glass of wine with dinner, and a double DiSerrano on the rocks with our shared Tiramisu dessert

the food & atmosphere was unbelieveable and we just kept feeding each other tastes of our food LOL. Jimi has been to Italy in the Navy and he said that this was the closest to REAL Italian food he's ever had...he's ready to go back!

MMMMMMmmmmm emmm! omg that was tasty.....after our gift cert & tip, $165 tab.

we knew it would be exp, so we took pix of all our food LMAO we'll post em later
