What are you rocking or what did you just recently pick up? Also feel free to post in here often. WHenever you're listening to something different or discovered something new. Someone else may have never heard of it either and check it out. People can discover new music like this.
I've been beating the new Evans Blue.

Actually as we speak right this minute, "Child in Time" by Deep Purple is playing on "Pure Rock Z104"! Awesome staion we have here! Right before this song they played "Into the Fire" by Dokken and "Livewire" by Motley Crue. With a staion like that, don't even need a CD player in the Dakota. I've got the stock AM/FM/Cassette and the cassette never worked since I've had it (Boo HOO!)

Not a big fan of Clapton myslef but I would have to say that Santana is the most overrated douche of all time. Hundreds of songs with the same hack guitar riff over them. He doesn't win shit until he has someone else sing over his awful music. Blech.
On another note, Pantera. :mullet: More so the earlier stuff. Cowboys from Hell, Vulgar Display of Power, Far Beyond Driven. Later on the stuff changed.
While I"m not a punk fan I really dig NOFX. They've got some damn good songs. I think the only CD of theirs I have is Punk in Drublic.

I used to listen to rap but I just can't anymore. It all sounds the same and most of it sucks. Only stuff I can still listen too is stuff from the Shady/G-Unit/Aftermath camp. Old and new. Only other stuff I listen to is DMX and Tupac. Occasionally someone will come out with a catchy tune and I can listen to it but definately not whole albums.

well yeah that cuz of all these new rappers are making quick pieces of crap music for the radio with a dance to go along so they can blow up quick, examples: lean with it, walk it out, lock and drop it, chicken noodle soup, and who knows how many more... good songs do come out just not as frequently as they used to... thats why i like listening to rappers first or second albums... those are usually the good ones...

Canibus is an ill rapper too.
Nowadays there are no good rappers with real substance to their lyrics.

Yeah I'm another one that can't stand country music. I listen to mostly classic rock; anything much newer than mid-80's YUCK. I notice by looking thru this growing list, thinking, "HuH" Who the #e!! is that? Also not a fan of hip hop or what is now called "alternative" I remember back in the late 70s, being like 11-12 years old and my older brother taking me with him to JCPennys about '78 to buy his "component" stereo; that was a big thing in those days. I remember often being told that he'd break my body parts if I touched his stereo; I still listen to the same stuff as back then (although disco still sucks); he got into that tear in my beer, croak and choke country for a while but he's coming back around, I notice when I see him, he's back to having classic rock on the radio like he did before it was "classic" I'm 40, he's 49 now, Ive been accused of being alot older because of the music I like.

What I really see as kinda weird but it also feels good to see, is my 14 year old son, he's got one of those Ipod things (seems obsessed with it) and when the online receipts come up in the mail I see he's loading alot of the same stuff I listen to! His excuse? Many of them are on Guitar Hero. Last one I got, he had bought a few Joe Walsh the time before that, Emerson Lake&Palmer, and Supertramp!
