Can anyone tell me if it's really that easy to install the Jack Rabbit tonneau cover? Pace Edwards claims the job should be done in half an hour.
I'm seriously thinking of ordering one and the dealer has already offered me to install it for 'just' $230,-. Seems a lotta money to me for half an hours' work! I already have studied the installation sheets and as far as I can see the only pain in the ass will be the alignment of those rails, especially in case any spacers will be needed for proper fit. So I'm not sure to do the job by myself, especially since the summer over here in Holland brings only rain.

Save yourself 230 and do it yourself. It may take a little longer than 30 min your first time just b/c of final adjustments with the shims that you were talking about, but not a hard job if you have any mechanical inclination at all. Also a small tip, If your having trouble getting it to slide smoothly after shimming, spray a little white lithium grease in the rails for a lubrication.
