My time is done... waaay too early

I am getting out cause of medical on July 23rd… not excited but not bummed… it just happened that way.

I got injured during training and its taking almost 2 years to heal up so my time is up. No regrets, no worries… I would have liked to finish my career but it looks like I am having some nice benefits when I get out…

They are going to pay for me to go back to school and finish up some things… plus ill be getting disability for the rest of my life..

I have tried to talk my wife into letting me lease a new Mercedes lol.. I am like Hun with the money I am getting its like were getting a new Mercedes every 2 years for the rest of my life for free! She does not like the idea lol… I thin she wants a puppy n stupid other things… well I got my truck so its not like I NEED a new car… but who gets ANYTHING cause they NEED it?

July 23rd will be a different day for me than I have experienced the past 3 years… ill be jobless, clueless and carefree... being diff then what I am used too

I guess this leaves me a lot of time to get some hands on training on how to fix my truck myself and get into the mechanical aspect of it… who cares if I break it. I always have the wife’s convertible lol

Well Good Luck Doc. Its sad to see you leave. But thanks for your Service. Now the real party starts Doc. Enjoy the journey, I hope both you and your Wife have a great adventure in the real world, don't expect the best right from the start but it will come all in time.

Take your navy training and get a regular job. Even though you are getting out for medical reasons, you still have military experience which is a huge asset. Good luck on whatever you do. I've got 12 years in now and plan on making it a career. getting ready to become a recruiter in October. Had a friend that got kicked out for the PRT failures. he's got a job now doing pretty much the same thing he was doing in the military, only as a civilian, and instead of working on real F-18's he fixes the simulator, including all the flight time he wants in the simulator so he can "test" the systems. hehe

Sorry to hear about the injury, but consider yourself lucky. With the way the Military is heading (at least the Navy), you're better off on the outside IMO. The Navy was great when I first joined 9 years ago, but even then it was in the process of turning into what it is today. G/L on the Outside though, I'm counting down the days 'til I'm free....LOL! :mullet: :twothumb:
