Adding a hitch to a D that did not come with one!

I had been speaking to a few of you about this before. Got my factory wiring harness yesterday. One member (Ugg) had been really helpful. I have been searching the net for power steering coolers and found several aftermarket brands at their sites along with Hi Po sites like Jegs. (The OEM one was $600) Ugg (if you read this) do you think one of these (like a Perma-Cool or Derale) would be ok? They cost much much less. It seems like they are specfic to power steering cooling at 80% less of the cost of the factory one.

I don't think that you need a power sterring cooler unless your towing at the maximum capcity. I think. My friends Durango has the towing package and all he has is a heavy duty rad and a trans cooler.

I think the big engine (5.9) has a larger radiator, but you would need to add the trans cooler.

I agree with Jforrest. I've never heard of the power steering going out due to towing. The transmission is going to be the issue.

How much weight are you pulling?
