Hey guys, I have no idea how to use photo shop but I wanted to see what my truck would look like lowered a tad and leveled (back with the front). Also, I'd like to see what Chrome R/T Rims would look like on it.
The only reason I ask is because I just got a company car and we sold my girlfriends car meaning she will be driving my truck an hour to work now. She's concerned about the gas mileage and it did get better mileage before I lifted it and put the larger tires on it, so I'm thinking that instead of trading her in I'd lower it back to stock height or a little lower, and put the smaller tires back on.
Thanks for the help!!!

so you're gonna spend a couple hundred to save a couple hundred? Makes sense.

Umm...no not really since I still have my smaller tires at home in my garage and my "lift" is just 2" blocks from autozone and a torsion bar crank. Thanks for playing
I just want the "chop" as I'm not really into lowered trucks and would like to see what my personal truck would look like lowered and done up like a sport truck since I always lift my trucks and go with bigger tires.

if that's all you did how are you getting lower mileage? How are you figuring it? Remember putting bigger tires on may lower it a little because of the extra rolling mass, but larget tires also make your speedometer off a bit so you may be actually getting about the same mileage.

Yeah I've done the calculations on a trip I do regularly and adjusted my speed so that I'd be going the same 70mph that I always do- my speedo reads about 65/66mph at that speed now. On my trip which is about 4 1/2 hours traveling from Mass to Maine, just over 200 miles, I used to use just about a half tank of gas. Since I lifted and put the larger tires on, it now uses about an 1/8 tank more gas on the same trip. If anything I'm getting even worse mileage than the numbers suggest because now the "good" summer gas is out and I'm still getting worse mileage than I did in the winter.
My original tires were 29" tall, these new ones are 32" or a tad more with stock 3.55 gears. So the tire height difference along with the cranked Tbars I gained more than just 2" of lift total, so the entire truck is higher in the air now as well.
All in all, my MPG's would probably go back up about 3mpg on the highway by changing back or more by lowering the truck a tad more than what it was stock.

I have to go to work now, but here's a (literally) 5 minute version... If I've got time tonight or tomorrow I'll see if I can level it, lower a bit more, and put the R/T wheels on it. Like I said this is just a quick PS.
