Well,
Tonight I went out to see how I had to change the oil on my Durango, when I got underneath the truck I noticed my A-arm or whatever it is called that the stabilizer bar goes to and also the strut and many other things are attached is Broken, it is a very tough piece of Steel, Now before I bought the truck there was damage on this side(driver's side) and I never noticed this but I could've easily overlooked it. It is the triangular piece that attaches below the rotor on the inside of the tire....anyways I was wondering how much something like that would cost to fix, any ideas? I will try to get a pic tommorrow if the person I bought it from doesn't fix it for me, they better, I'm sure it was from the previous accident.

Sounds like a lower control arm. If it's in fact broken, GET IT FIXED ASAP! Not to alarm you, but that could fail in a bad way. Just to confirm, doe's look similar to the pic below?

Yeah it is the lower control arm, it is getting fixed soon and no I'm not driving it til it's fixed. Those things aren't cheap....wow!

Well I opted for the $80 Used one over a $500 new one since cashflow is low. So for $230 I got it fixed and back on the road again...YEA! Those things aren't easy to fix, my mechanic had to take both sides apart along with taking the stabilizer bar out. Took him about 6 hours and still only cost me $150 for labor.
