My '04 Durango R/T appears to be running on about 4 cyl. for about 10 minutes or so after it sets out in the rain. If I don't lock out O/D it will hardly move itself down the road. If I let it shift into O/D before it is warmed up well, it bucks and shakes and rattles like crazy. After it gets warmed up real well, in about 5 or 6 miles it pretty much goes away. Has anyone seen any serv. bull. or such on a water problem besides the windshield wiper motor? (that recall has been done)
thanks

You could be getting some water seeping into your fuel system somewhere. After the water gets burned thru the engine, and you're running straight gas again, it will run fine. I don't know if that is anywhere near the solution, but it's what popped into my head first...

I agree, but the last time i replied with warranty they got bent out of shape. I wouldn't change a damn thing, but that's me. Some people would rather fix it themselves than sit at a dealer....

I know it's a new rig and all that, but try checking the plug wires. Moisture will sometimes cause arcing through the wires when damp, but clears up after some heat dries them out. Good luck!
