U bolt sizes.

Does anyone know what size the stock u bolts are on a dakota rt. I got some u bolts with the lowering kit i bought from djm suspension but they are too thick. Does anyone know the bolt size on the stock u bolts? :hammer:

The Dak R/T has the heavy duty axle which is 3 1/2" dia. Most generic kits out there are for 3" DJM sells a Dak R/T specific steel block kit and a Dak kit. I have the Dak R/T kit on my durango. Durangos are built with two different size axles. 3" and 3 1/2. It does not matter if it is 2wd, 4x4 or R/T. I The 3 1/2 has a 12 bolt octagon shaped differential cover. The 3" has a 10 bolt oval cover. The 3 1/2" inch U-bolts are also a bit larger in diameter so the shock plate holes need to be enlarged a bit. 3 1/2" block kits are tough to find or you can hane u-bolts bent for you at big rig truck shops.
