Relocating IAT sensor

I've read that the 2001 and up daks with the 4.7 have a locking sensor and the ones before that have a threaded type. Does anyone know for sure which is which, and what should I use to plug the hole where the sensor originally came out of. Any help is much appreciated.

I have a 96 3.9 and when i moved mine, the hole in the intake was threaded. 1/4 inch pipe plug did the trick. I really can't tell of any gain in power OR a drop in fuel economy. Good luck though
