That thing is hudge. I fish alot but havent caught a large mouth bass. Seem to catch more small mouth bass. Did you keep him or let him go? Also what did bait did you use?

Awesome fish man! I love it when they are shallow and get dark green like that!!

Yeah I've caught a few bass in my day!

Canyon Lake! I haven't been fishing there yet, my dad is still in PA with the boat. I've been there plenty of times on two wheels though!! What a fun ride on a motorcycle.

Baits used in order Rebel Pop-R, Strike King Spinnerbait (white with white blades, best used on cloudy days), and a Strike King Spit-N-Image.

The best bait to produce mass amounts of numbers and an occasional biggun is a whacky rigged stick worm. It's the best I've ever used for quantity but not so much quality. But any size fish is fun as long as it's pullin on the line right??!!

I might see if I can get any pics of some fishies this year. I just started fishing last year...caught a few 5-6 pound large mouths last year and caught some 2-3 pound smallies also.

for the bass i was using a slug-go....

and today at canyon lake i got skunked. we stayed in a cove on the shoreline and we didnt have one bite. It was pretty strange cause there was hundreds of dead baby shad/or elwive or something all over the lake. Pretty shitty fishing day but an awesome day none the less.
Spent 23.50 on the fishing liscense today (expensive) so good luck with that
and yea i can imagine that ride on a bike, we were talkin about it today. Oh and by the way the AZ state record largemouth was caught at canyon lake. 16lbs. so it produces.

theres some nice fish in here. bass are my passion though

peacock bass are insane. ive seen a few shows on ESPN where they go down to the amazon and catch some peacock that snap their lures in half. Ive been fishing in the everglades to try and get some but they are picky little bastards.
anywho here are a few more pics of some bass i got in Colorado. a carp that i pulled right out of the water with my bare hands when they were surfacing in this one rapid. and a shot of my fishin partner..

I mean she apparently is a great angler and i could use the tips....ha anyways yea i want to catch a monster peacock but i doubt i can afford the trip to the amazon....and the only thing i've caught out of the everglades were 2 4-5lb sailfin catfish

peacocks are very strong fighters. love it. they go straight for the bottom and pull hard. i got no scale or anything but i swear i caught one that was between 5-7lbs. biggest thing i pulled from fresh water. peacocks love to chase things that move like spinners, and crank baits i just add a little roster tail at the end of a popper or crank bait.

what is the rule if you just fish off you properity for fun and throw everything back? do you still need a licence? I live on the lake and fish once in a blue moon, do I need a licence now that I am 18?

Dunno about TN but GA and I think NC says that if you do any fishing on a public lake, not a private pond then you need a licence. and in some areas they tell you what kind of bait to use. if you have never been stop by DNR don't worry about it

pretty sure if you fish right off of your shore you wont get hassled by any DEP, im sure they pay most attention to boaters and people fishin on public property
