ok, i just got my 00' dakota this week and i have been fixing little things. both driving lights were burned out. turns out both lenses are cracked and each fixture had a bit of frozen water inside. i took out both old bulbs and the glass capsule on each was broke off and laying inside the housing. oh, thats not gonna happen. i spent 15 min fishing out the broken bulb with a piece of wire. i could not get it so i used a piece of duct tape rolled into a tube shape with the sticky side out and i got the damn piece out. i tried the other housing and got the piece out in less than a minute. i suppose i could have unbolted the housings but the bolt is on top and hard to reach. now the lights work but of course they are still weak lights to begin with.

I'm assuming you are referring to the fog lights? I'm about 99% sure you can't change the lens. Instead of buying new ones that are just gonna break again , cuz they are cheap ass plastic I went ahead and bought a set of Hella 2500 Angel Eyes. Several other people on here have them, and they look badass, + they have a glass housing. Haven't found the time to install mine yet.
