Does anyone know how to remove the glovebox in a 2000 dakota? I was planning on painting it for my friend but i cant seem to get it off.:confused:

you might try to see if there is some srews you can't see behind the door. i will look in my haynes tonight and try to find the screws for you (it isn't too specific on body and interior stuff so it might not show me for sure)

I have a 97 and If I can remember right, there are three hinged like tabs at the bottom of the glove box. You just have to pry them a little to get it to release. I know that it was a real pain to do.

actually the 3 little things on the bottom that hold it in are easy to get off. Just push in the sides where the glove box falls and then it should just snap out with a little force. i painted mine and it turned out great
