My control arm bushings are shot on the passenger side. Does anyone know if they are hard to install? I just replaced my upper and lower ball joints. How long will it take for the control arm bushings and does anyone think im better off installing them myself.

I just replaced the uppers in my truck. Not bad at all.

You will want to remove the upper control arm. Make sure to mark where the pivot shaft is connected to the mounts to help you get it back close to the alignment. Then Remove the two 22mm nuts from the top of the pivot shaft. Once you get those off, pull the arm out. Now you want to loosen and remove the 2 24mm nuts on either side of the pivot shaft. It helps to use air tools or use a long bar that will fit in the holes of the pivot shaft to stop it from turning when you loosen those bolts. On both sides of the arm you will see a cup (so to speak). They hold the bushing into the arm. It has a small lip around it. Use a prybar or long screwdriver to pry that cup out of the control arm. Might want to spray it with some lubricant if they are pretty stubborn. Once you get those out, take a torch and burn up most of the old rubber bushing. What I did was set the cup in a vise with the lip holding it, between the clamp edges. Then got the bushing hot, on both sides, then used the pivot shaft to push it through. Then you put the new bushings into the cup and use the supplied lubricant. Then place the pivot shaft back into the control arm, then re-install the cups. I tapped on the edges of the cup with a hammer to get them to seat all the way. Then put the nuts back on and put the control arms back onto the truck. Then get it re-aligned.

Hope that helps. If you need more help, shoot me an email. As far as pics, shoot me an email with what else you would like to see. I can send you some back.
