View Full Version : headers and glasspacks
What's up guys, haven't been here in a while, so busy with work and golf...anyways, I've had a 40series flowmaster and now a dynomax superturbo, and neither sound loud/good enough for me. What kind of sound could I expect with Shorty headers and glasspacks? My friend's dad has a 67nova with the 283ci motor, headers and glasspacks sounds so mean on it, would i get the same type of sound or not? :help:

Well what kind of sound are you trying to get here? I mean... a v6 is still a v6, and you can get close... but you won't ever have that real v8 sound and all out loudness. I don't really know any advice to tell you, and I can't really answer your question.
Shorty's should sound good tho ;)

Or you could just go around in one gear too high all the time so it's low and rumbly instead of high n ricey :D

You want that higher pitched hot-rod sound. Glass pack will get you that, but I dont know how loud it is going to be on a 6. Try running it open and see how that sounds before you spend the money.
