Hey is this stuff durable enough to use on exterior parts? Would there be any advantage or disadvantage to this instead of paint? I was thinkin of doing my door handles and mirrors and maybe a few other bits and pieces.

Yes it is durable enough. Darren Alcorn has his shaker done at Phoenix imaging and its holding up well.

Hydro-Graphics is painting, with a twist. Your parts are sanded/prepped, painted with a primer color, then the hydro-graphic pattern is applied, then a clear coat of paint is applied on top.
You can also have them process parts without the pattern if you want, I had P.I. color-match the door handles on my Black R/T, they came out looking great, a lot better than the rattle-can attempt I did earlier in the year.

Yup, no issues at all, even in the hot engine bay. :biggthump

That's pretty much what I had in mind. I just want to color match the handles, mirrors, maybe the wiper cowl too. Simply PX8 black.
How much did the door handles cost?

Is PX8 black the same as on my 2000 Durango? It's gloss black.

I'd bet money that it is, though I can't be 100% sure.

Yes I believe it's the same paint color. You can verify this by looking at the sticker in your driver's side door opening - one of the bits of information is the vehicle's 3-digit paint code. The 1st digit might be different, the last 2 are the ones that truly reflect the color.

Having your dash vents done really shows how cool this technology is - it's amazing how well the patterns can be applied across curved surfaces, really makes traditional sticker-style dash kits look crude and primitive.

how much would it run to have mirrors, a set of door handles and 1 tailgate handle done?

If you click on the "featured product" link on the main page of this site you'll see another link for general pricing on some particular parts that were spec'd out by Phoenix Imaging. If you don't see the exact item posted there, then it's truly best to give Robyn at Phoenix Imaging a call for a custom quote.
Measure the part W x D x L, it's best if you use a flexible tape measure because you must measure the surface area of the part. It also helps if you can take a picture of the part and forward it along.

Doesn't matter that much, but the pictures are broken on that page.
