i have an 03 single cab dak and i would like to put 3 12's in the back by cutting throught the back wall and into a box in the bed. now i can do this but i found a pretty big peice of steel running under the back window. now if i cut this will my cab lose strength? the peice is hollow so im not sure if it is supporting or tieing any thing together.

just cut right below it. The cab can withstand it just dont cut the thick support running across the middle. You can only go about 9 inches high but you can go all the way across the back wall if you want. I know this becasue I did it.
