Just a tip. I see a lot of questions on the board that can sometimes be answered simply in a Haynes or Chiltons service manual. They are by no way all inclusive, but if anyone wishes to do any back yard mechanics, I highly recommend you pick one up. I picked one up years ago (for an S-10) and with no experience was able to do loads of work on that truck from changing the brakes to ball joints, CV shafts, clutch, etc. I always have one for my vehicles now.

For about $20 you can learn a lot about your vehicle and even save a few $$$$ in the process.

i agree it isnt all that hard to crack open a manual to try to answer any question. however, those that got even just the haynes/chilton manuals that sometimes the answer isnt in there. example: when i got 'SC' code for the temp on my evic. hell, come to think of it, the haynes manual didnt even help me worth a damn when i installed the evic(electronic vehicle information console)

got very lucky and was able to pick up a complete factory manual set for $80 after shipping off of ebay.
