Difference between 04' and 03'?

I have a 2004 Dak Quad cab 4.7L 4X4 and am interested in installing a cat back system (looking at Gibson Dual Sport). At this moment the only system I can find for an '04 is from Magnaflow. Gibson, Flowmaster and Dynomax have several systems for 03's. I have contacted the tech dept.'s for them and have been told by all that the '03 systems will not fit my '04 but none have been able to explain why other that stating, "it just won't fit". Does anyone have any insight on this? I can't see any diference in the '03 and '04 model year.

What about this third cat I've read about in some posts? I was under the truck today and I only saw two cats, one off each manifold then Y pipe into the muffler.

Yeah me too i was wondering the same thing if an 03 exhaust kit will fit on my 04. Also have u tried changing ur oil??? that "oil fuel access door" thing is a piece and makes it hard to reach the oil filter.

Still haven't learned anything new on the exhaust question, but magnaflow now has a catback system available for the '04 and in a recent e-mail from Gibson I was told they would have several systems available for the '04 in the next 4-6 weeks. Yeah that oil filter access door sucks...makes for a messy job.

Hey does anyone know what size dia. in/out I need to order for the 40 series delta flow---just the muffler, not doing a whole cat-back system!
