Sept TOM Nominations

Gonna try things a bit differently this month. If it goes well, I'll do the same from here on out. This month's nominations are starting at the first of the month. Why you ask.
1. I want more people to be involved in TOM we have had +80 voters in the last couple of months yet I only get 15-25 members who nominate people.

2. A week of nominations is too short IMO. This way you have until around the 20th of each month to get yours in. With this extra time you'll have more time to study over all of our members Dakota/Durango's, and the personality thats behind the wheel.

Here's some hints for people who are interested in becoming a TOM, or don't know who they should nominate:

1) Post pictures! Lots of them! Most of the people on this site love to see pictures of other trucks, regardless of whether they are bone stock or modded to the hilt. The best place to do this is in the Multimedia section of the forum. Read the FAQ at the top of that forum if you don't know how to post photos.

2) Add a photo of your truck as your avatar or signature photo, then post a lot in the various forums. People nominate trucks they see on a regular basis, and posting a lot will get people's attention. Avatar photos are small but still noticeable, and you can upload one from your own computer. Signature photos have to be hosted somewhere on the internet - set up a vBGarage account and link to a photo there (see vBGarage link at the top of the forum screen for info). Otherwise you can use sites like PhotoBucket to host pictures.

3) Ask questions! If you're not sure how the TOM system works, send a PM to Adam, myself, or one of the other system moderators. We will do our best to help you out.

For those of you who don't know how the PM system works, here's a link to Adam's inbox, just let him know the usernames of up to two members you'd like to nominate for truck of the month. Take a look in the Multimedia section of the forum over the next couple of weeks for suggestions on people to vote for, and keep an eye out in the Featured Truck forum around the 20th of the month to see the top 3 nominees so you can vote for the winner!

FYI - I started a thread in the Multimedia section for people to post pictures of their trucks so people can solicit nominations for September Truck of the Month. The pictures which were posted here were moved over to that other thread just so they are all in one place.
