Well, I saw a request for exhaust videos (I'll get them Emailed to the right person also...) But wanted to post them here incase people already here don't really check those video selections. :-)
PLEASE NOTE: It seems to me this makes it seem a little louder than it actually is... So turn the volume down a little in your head ;-) But the tone of it is correct. And that's what is important- Right? hehe... ENJOY! (PS this is about 75 miles after the Trans-go shift kit...)

That sounds great...what size magnaflow is that...i think once i finish school in october i'm getting rid of this flowmaster.

Yes, single in, single out. I had it custom bent/tucked by my local shop Exhaust works (does all my cars) and then the tip is just a dual out... The tip is supposed to come out and point up.. But I had it made so it comes out at a downward angle so the ends were level with the ground... I HATE to see the exhaust pipes on trucks! (see my car domain site for my tip photo)
Glad you like it enough to get one. :0) :banana2: I think too he upped the pipe diameter by .25" from the cat back.....

Yea, I'm doing exhaust now. I'm getting 3" SI/SO Magnaflow 14" muffler along with a Magnaflow 3" cat and JBA headers and y-pipe. Full 3" exhaust with a badass 4" tip coming out in front of the passenger side rear tire.

Sounds alot like mine, but a little quieter. I have a 3" straight pipe from my last cat back, LOVE it!

Being that yours is an 03, you only have one cat, right? That's why the Magnaflow is so loud on yours. I had an 18" Magnaflow on my 02 (has 3 cats)and it sounded real good, but not loud enough for me.

SO... to us 4.7 guys with 3 cats (like me), go with a straight pipe or the absolute shortest Magnaflow you can get (12" maybe?). The single cat 4.7's do sound sweet with a Magnaflow though.

Ok .. I think that sounds perfect ... now I'd like to go with the 14 inch magnaflow .. however , I wanna run a SI/DO 14 magnaflow with my STOCK cat on a 5.9 ... will it be much louder then that do you think?

I really dont want it any louder then yours sounded on those clips ... I'd like to keep it as close as that as possible.

The reason I'm gunna run a dual out is that I will be running tips out the back of a cuda rollpan.

Earlier in this topic someone said the earlier Dakota trucks have 3 cats... If yours does it will be quieter than mine. (Mine only has 1 cat) (Mine in real life is a tad quieter than these videos make it seem also) I don't know the exact diameter... Mine was upped by 1/4 of a inch from whatever it was. LOL I don't think a dual out will be much (if any) different than a single out though.

I'm glad it helped you :-) I remember getting my truck and running around trying to find some clips.... Nothing. That's when I figured I had to make some. LOL My videos are also listed in the multimedia section of this site. Just in case they are ever deleted from my personal space.

Damn that sounds GREAT. I have the 14" SI/DO Magnaflow on my 5.2 and it also IMO sounds awesome.

Not really,

I'm still going back and forth between si/so + bassani dual tip, or
si/do, with oversized tips next to each other.

But then again, this is me were talking about... I'd take forever to decide
which bucket of water to put my ass into if it were on fire. :jester:
