I'm looking for a grille for my 2000 Dakota. I don't like the speed grilles so it must be a billet insert. I really like the open designs without the crossbars but I want a chrome shell, and all I've found are paintable. I found this one a NOPI, but it doesn't really look like a Dakota grille even though it says it is

I still haven't found the chrome shell, just the grille. I know Stull also makes a open grille/shell but I haven't found a chrome shell. I don't care about the price, I just want the grille.

what color is your current grill? I am assuming its allready painted and not chrome. If it just happens to be Graphite I will just swap you your painted for my chrome.

P.S. Have you tried looking through junkyards? Also check ebay.

Actually it is chrome but I want the open design without crossbars so I doubt I will find it at a wrecking yard. I can't just cut the crossbars out because there would be a huge hole. I have only seen the painted shells like this one

If anyone knows where I can find a chrome shell without crossbars please post the info. Any brand is OK, it just needs to be chrome with no crossbars like this one:

If I can't find this I guess I'll just get the insert that fits in the EO shell, but I really like the looks of the open style.....just not painted

I have never seen a chrome open grill either.
