We all want to increase our MPG.

Synthetic Motor Oils and Lubricants = Increased Fuel Efficiency (better MPG).

Synthetic Motor Oils and Lubricants are made from pure chemicals with molecular uniformity - usually natural gas - and not refined crude oil. Because of synthetic lubricants molecular uniformity, ... they excel in reducing friction, which improves fuel efficiency, controls heat and reduces wear.

It has been proven by Amsoil (and other leading oil manufacturers and suppliers) through use of industry accepted fuel economy tests, field demonstrations (and as witnessed by most of our customers), that switching to synthetic oils and lubricants can (and does) improve fuel economy (mpg).

Amsoil Synthetic Motor Oils reduce friction and drag better than petroleum oils, resulting in significant fuel economy increases. In a 1.2 million mile demonstration, AMSOIL Lubricants showed a 4.5% increase in gas mileage. Other tests have shown increases of as much as 15% under certain weather and driving conditions. Yet, because every vehicle is different, as are driving habits and conditions, it is difficult to accurately project an exact increase.

Since AMSOIL synthetic motor oils create less friction, they help reduce fuel consumption, increasing a vehicle's fuel economy significantly. Operating with AMSOIL, the engine doesn't have to work as hard to turn the wheels, so it takes less fuel to run.

SPECIAL NOTE: Depending upon your driving habits, conditions, and climate ... switching viscosities can improve fuel economy also. I've observed a MPG increase when switching grades (5w-30 compared to 10w-40).

I have my own results to share with everyone.

My last two vehicles have been Lexus RX's with the onboard computer. On each, I used Castrol for the first 5k +/- miles. I recorded (on the vehicles's computer - not in my head) 16.8 MPG average. I switched to Amsoil and for the next 25k+ miles, my mileage was recorded at 18.6 MPG average - a 10.7% increase in MPG - a combination of city and highway - driving the same commute for all 30k+ miles. I've even gotten close to 24 MPG on the highway - which is what the window sticker told me I should expect. Is anyone getting anywhere what your window sticker stated you should expect on the highway?

If not, please consider Amsoil for your next motor oil, transmission and gear lube change.

I drive a 1998 3.9 automatic Dakota.
As the truck came from the factory with synthetic oil, I have no way to judge a mileage improvement.
Here is what has happened:
My best MPG didn't come until 100,000 miles.
I now average High 18's in winter and high 19's summer.
I recently carried 1100 lbs from San Jose to LA and got 21.4 MPG. at 68 MPH, on cruise with A/C.
The original engine and transmission have 500,000 miles on them; using AMSOIL.

Last fill on the Dakota, which is now runing on M1, got 19.38 mpg. It was awsome seeing 226 miles on the odometer with the needle sitting on the half tank line. It was almost overflowing with just 11.66 gallons.

The Stratus did about 33.5 on a 400 mile trip.

About three years ago a friend told me (Richard Giddens) about AMSOIL products. He explained how they would conserve fuel in my Dodge pickup truck. At first I was skeptical. I thought this was just another product promising to work better than anything else. After some convincing I gave in and tried AMSOIL. My Dodge pickup was a 2000 year model with 140K miles on it. My truck typically got 19-20 MPG. That following weekend we traveled to West Texas. I carefully calculated the mileage ... then recalculated the mileage. I was amazed to find that my truck actually got 22.23 MPG after switching to AMSOIL. That is an increase of 3 to 4 MPG.

I became a believer in AMSOIL. I added it to all of my vehicles including my 2002 41Ft. CAT Diesel motor home, 1971 AMX Javelin show car, and a 1971 AMX Drag Racing muscle car as well as my wife's 2004 Chevrolet Avalanche pickup. The performance of all the vehicles improved, especially my 1971 AMX Dragster. This car has an 800+ HP engine with a 15:1 compression ratio.

After 10 runs down the strip the cam distributor gears went out. I replaced the gears and added standard 20W-50 Castrol racing oil (not AMSOIL). The car performed at 125 MPH in the quarter mile on the first run. This was 8 MPH slower than the typical 133 MPH I was getting with the AMSOIL product. On inspection of the car after this run 1 discovered that the new gears had also stripped out. Apparently the gears had never been compatible. I replaced them once more and this time added AMSOIL. My car resumed its outstanding performance on the track at 133 MPH in 10.38 seconds. I also believe that AMSOIL actually preserved my car's gears for those first 10 runs and they would have stripped sooner without AMSOIL. Now at 191K miles, my Dodge diesel pickup continues to perform well and maintains the 22 to 23 MPG.

Richard Giddens

Note: The incompatible timing gears on the distributor of the AMX Drag Car lasted 10 runs before stripping out when lubricated by the AMSOIL Series 2000 20W-50 Racing Oil. The next set of distributor timing gears were also incompatible and only lasted one 1/4 mile pass with Castrol 70W-50 Racing Oil.
