My drop kit will be here next week and I was just wonderin how the rest of you peeps took those rivets out. I got a nice selection of air tools and a plasma cutter if need be. But any tips or hints would be appreciated. Thanks.

Sharp new drill bits and a big hammer :hammer: :p

A grinder might come in handy also.

:stop: don't forget the safety glasses you would like to see your truck after you drop it

Also, it would be a good idea to measure you truck first. Just to see if you get the right amount of drop.

Thanks for all the tips. Sport Truck Direct failed to tell me that the lowering A Arms were bein drop shipped from the factory so I wont be able to get the kit on till next weekend. :dammit: :fight:
I'll sure as heck never do business with them again. And the salesmen I spoke with said he would call me back as soon as he found out info about them, he never called, I had to call and get the info for myself.
I just hope the western chassis parts are decent.

Will do man, will do. The rear Shackles look nice and heavy, I jus hope the a-arms are decent lookin. They supposedly have a life time warranty on all the parts.
I also went to sears and lowes and got some nice new chisels and a air hammer chisel bit and new drill bits so I hope it goes well.

Well I got the kit on. Wasnt too bad after all. I just used a cuttin torch and 4'' hard disk grinder to remove the rivets. The truck sits decent, but not low enough for me. I think Im gonna order up some 2" lowerin springs and drop the front down a lil more to make it a full 3" in the front. And set the rear down another 1/2". I'll post pics soon...

open up your pic/s in paint and then go to image on the top toolbar, now go to stretch/skew. Use the same number in both horiz. and vert. (i.e. 50%H, 50%V)
