05 Dakota. :)

I wasnt to fond of the body styling at first but then i started to drive it andit grew on me.

3.7 v6, 4x4, FULLY Loaded, the works. So.... Now iam need to start moding it up :) Ima start normll with the intake exaust and then maybe by then i will need new tires :) and a lift :) !

It was hard to say good bye to my 97. I will miss it. I had to goto the dealer and they had it parked in the back awaiting whatever fate the dealer has for it. I will miss it, it was very hard to say good bye to it.

Sweet!! Nice truck

Yeah I wasn't too fond of the '05 looks at first, but then it grows on you

There's a (very affordable) 2" front leveling lift kit available....something you might wanna look into. Here's a post from www.dodgeforum.com with some pics of the kit installed:

Also, try and ditch the woodgrain bezel. That's the first thing I swapped out....it's sooooooooooo UGLY and matches absolutely nothing in the truck.

I went with the silver painted one (found in the Laramie) and it looks very nice. I have the khaki interior & it looks alright still (matches the silver on the gauges & my Alpine radio). And it'll match the exterior of your truck as well, ironically. Here's my post about it:
http://www.dakota-durango.com/forum/showthread.php?t=13378

There's also a dull black version (found in base ST models) & a dull light grey version too. You would have to get the VIN number off a Dakota with the one you like & then give it to your Parts Dept. & they can pull the part number of that exact bezel.
Simple swap to do though.

Welcome!

nice truck but your frist mod should of been a V-8

hope you enjoy your new truck and never figured out why dodge would put just one peice of woodgrain in a interior. its like when some one builds a new house and spends too much on one room . then the rest of the house is plain. makes no sense.

the steering wheel looks better than the 03 one in my truck.

How come everyone has a problem putting in the part number?!?!

1. You click on www.dodgeparts.com
2. Click on "Got a Part Number?" at the top of the page under Dodge Accessories Catalog
3. Put in "5KF61XZAAB" in the field & then select "Dodge" from the drop down menu next to the field
4. Click Search
5. It returns: "MSRP $121", "Core $0.00", "Price $94.38", "BEZEL INSTRUMENT PAN"

I traeded my '97 for an '05 CC SLT 4.7 4x4, a little over a year ago. It had ~160K on it, losing paint and some creeping issues.

But I know exactly where you're comin' from. I loved that truck.

But I love this one too, at about 13K miles.
