They should fit your truck just fine. I have them on my truck, but can't tell you accurately how well they work because I installed them at the same time as I installed hotchkis leafs. With the combination of the 2, my launch traction is much improved from stock.

Nice score, as much as i don't like the look of those goddy bars hanging out the back end, it's a warning in itself as well...which is cool.

I got mine at Vato Zone too for like $30 bucks. They definately help on wheel hop - when I lay into the throttle it is instant tire burn or traction. Although I had to weld a 1 inch block onto the back mounting point to bring my snubber up to the spring. I think with a set of slicks hooking would be no problem (at the track that is).

I can't seem to find a set of these at Summit. They only list them for GM and Ford. Would anyone happen to have a product number?
I also found this on Lakewood's website.

Install was simple, once the trucks off the ground it'll take you about 10 minutes per side. And yes, they will fit a rc.

shouldn't they be a little bit longer? I have heard that they work best if the snubber hits at the very end of the spring where it mounts to the truck.
I could be wrong though.

Looked online and it says that they're not in stock at the local Autozone and the online warehouse doesn't have them in stock.

Hey guys, would it be a good idea to weld on that 1 inch spacer like DennisO said? My roomate has set on his RT and we did run into the problem of them not contacting the spring unless they are under load. He has 1 inch blocks in the rear also.
DennisO
03-18-2006, 01:15 AM
It works real well I have had no problems. The snubber sets about 1/2" away from the spring. I welded the block on the back mount of the traction bars. If you do it right you should have no problems.

also shouldn't the snubber be against the end of the spring? I have been told that is where they are suppost to be so 30's would fit better right?

I use mine for the track with my slicks is keeps the tire from hopping and planted to the ground. This is a pic of the launch of my truck. the tire is planted and the tire has the wrinkle in it. :biggthump

I don't beleive anyone makes a set to go all the way to the end, but I run mine about 1/2"-3/4" away from the leaf

ok so should the snubber be closer to the leaf or does moparsz have it set up right?
SLT kota
10-24-2006, 10:21 PM
Well I broke down and got some and they don't go all the way to the end of the leaf but are like moparsz (Though powercoated black to blend in). They help with wheel hop alot. I did some research and it is probably better to have the go all the way to the end but only if you are driving an extreamly high horsepower truck that launches really hard. The only reason this is so is because they can slightly bend the leafs when you launch... but if you are running that fast (probably 11's) you can afford something more expensive like caltracks.

out of curiosity will this work with the hotchkis 2/3 drop without any problems? would 30" be too long for the rear springs or would it be a better choice then the 28" ones?

I have the 28 inch ones, and they line up perfect with the hotchkis onmaybe a half inch till it touches the spring, but on my v6 they didnt the spacer would need to bemade to sit higher on the bar. it sat a couple of inches from the spring.
