Anyone know when the Night Runner option is due out for the Dakota? I see the RAM 1500 has it now.

It came out for the 2006 models....so they should be on the lots already or hitting the lots very soon

The NIght Runner package has been at the dealerships since mid-December. Was looking at buying one but got snaked by one of the salesmen there.

thats actually the R/T, i believe the nightrunner has black 17" rims and a special black paint job, otherwise it looks about the same

Let me clear all the confusion up....

The picture listed by "kleeek" was a black 2006 R/T

The first picture listed by "AmberFireDak" was a 2006 NiteRunner Edition Ram SRT-10

The second pic is of a 2006 NiteRunner Edition Dakota

The third pic is of a 2006 NiteRunner Edition Durango

The pics listed by "AmberFireDak" were from the 2006 North American International Auto Show in Detroit. I was there...so I saw these trucks in person...not my pics though

The NiteRunner package is available on the Ram, Durango, & Dakota (saw a brochure at the dealer)

Specifically on the Dakota (& the other ones as well, pretty much).....it comes with a black pearl/metallic paint job, painted grille & bumpers, blacked out headlights (instead of chrome), NiteRunner decals, black chrome wheels, a black pearl painted radio bezel/surround, silver faced gauges, blacked out door handles on the interior, and "NiteRunner" stitching on the headrest were the details that I noticed when I saw it.

as far as rims go for the night runner dakota ... not impressed. Cannot seem to find one on any lot here, dont know why.

They're just like the Laramie wheels, except Black Chrome

This Dakota package has NOT yet been released to the public, I work at WTAP in Warren, Mi. We have run 4 pilots so far. None have been released to ANY dealers as of yet! It is a trim/decore package. I've seen V/6s and V/8s built in Brilliant Black. The Grill, Wheels, interior accents, are Black Chrome (awesome up/close) Headlights are blacked/out around the edges. Decals are on the bed sides towards the rear. A sweet looking package when seen up close.

yea, the pics were mine, i started a thread awhile ago asking if anyone heard anymore info on them, as i saw them at the auto show... im actually glad they r making them because with in the year ill be looking at trading in my jeep

Early pilot Night Runners had a Black/Chrome Grill. The production grill is now body color Brilliant/Black
