On EBAY there are a bunch of sensor chips that are supposed to tell the ECU that it is receiving cold air which makes it richen up the mixture and gives more power. They claim it will increase up to 20HP for only $10! Anyone have any experience with these? It sounds to good to be true.

They're all crap... It's just a $.10 resistor from Radio Shack (the high-tech models put it inside a plastic box, same shit) that alters your IAT sensor signal into making the computer think the incoming air is cooler than it really is and therefore richening the mixture. This isn't guaranteed to increase horsepower, and certainly not at the 10-20-30hp levels that are claimed on E-Bay.
Lord knows what resistance levels they're even using with their resistors, you could be putting something out of range in there.

I have a friend they pretty much bought everything and anything for his neon. He bought one of these gimmicks from ebay. He never ended up using it. We went to the track one day and he tried to get me to use it for a run or two. I never used it, and i wouldnt suggest using it. You get what you pay for. If you want to go fast its going to cost money.
