I'm planning on installing a m1 intake..
I can order the kit
with egr/ or without egr???
What is the egr
I saw this on a install page

"The height is the same as the stock manifold and it has provisions for the EGR hook up."

EGR???
Can someone help

exhaust gas regulator, it rerouts unburn exhaust gas back in to the manifold for emissions. i live in hawaii and we dont have emission control...so i took mine out

I was lead to believe that the M-1, egr or no-egr, wasnt emissions legal.

Exhaust Gas Return.

I am not sure about the cut off date but my 03 Dakota R/T is not equipped with the EGR. Check with the boys over at KRC. They will recommend the right intake for your year of truck.

The M1 should not void any warranty either??

egr means exhaust gas recirculation, the others had it close, but not exact. It is an emissions control system that re-burns exhaust to decrease hydo-carbon emissions and lower combustion temperatures. Just because one of the M1's has egr does not mean it is emissiosn legal.

edit: It should NOT void your warrenty if you leave all other systems of the vehicle, IE: the egr, intact. The only way it can void it is if the dealer can prove that is the cause of your problem.
