Ok i need some help here.

Was a manual steering rack ever offered in a 94 dakota 4cyl rwd application??

I have power steering now. My rack leaks and my pressure line just died on me. So to say the least im kinda pissed and dont want to invest all the money.

Also, in the persuit of making my truck turbo i was probably going to remove the power steering anyways as it was in the way of the idea of how i wanted to mount the turbo.

So i really need to find out if they ever offered a manual steering rack and pinion and if they did was it in 94 or an earlier year where i can get it and still put it in my truck?

There is a manual rack avaliable when you go to the parts store... But I've never seen on in person or could compare it to the power one.

Just in case this topic is ever brought up again i did find a guy that got me a manual rack for my truck. Im pretty sure he just interchanged it from an 89 dakota manual rack as most parts stores will list that.

The big thing that you have to remember is that your tie rod ends from the power rack will NOT fit the manual rack and you will need to buy new ones or acquire used ones.

So about $350 later im a manual steering truck.....still not quite sure if all that money was worth it....but it is nice and tight now!
