Anyone ever thought of shortening the bed of their truck for a better take of angle? I've noticed that dakotas have great approach angles, but naturally the bed inhibits the rear. Kind of like a jeep...cut off right behind the rear wheels.

Just humor me and photoshop the side of a Dak with a shortened bed...

Honestly what is under there that's needed? Cut it off right behind the shackles..it's just some extra frame and the spare tire.

Don't ask why I thought of this but I think of stupid stuff like this all the time!!

Wouldn't work on the Gen III styles, the "flare" built into the bed would akwardly end. On Gen I/II it'd be easy.

^That would be about a million times easier to do than completely bobbing the bed, and I think it looks alot better too in my opinion.

Here's a photoshop of what the bob would look like...

I'd like to see a quad cab bed on a club cab truck...now i think that would look killer...sometimes i think my bed looks too long for the cab.

The truck I photoshopped would be ugly, but the departure angle is awesome on that bad boy!
