My wife has a 01 Durango and I am going to lift it for her birthday, with that being said... I am going with the 3" body lift and gap guards, Turning the torsion bars and my question is where can I get the Beltech shackles? and with the lift above can I fit 33x12.5 on the factory wheels. They are a the chrome r/t wheels and they look good. Thanks for the time...

I got my shackes from Summit. I also have 305/70/16's on my stock wheels which equate to 33x12.50.

I turned my TB's 7 times. I might go once more (maxed out) because I still rub a bit.

From what I understand the 33x12.5 rubs on the frame not fender. So, spacers or new rims would fix it.

No they don't. I've dropped into deep ruts, climbed out of deep ruts, taken sharp turns. I've run my truck pretty hard off road and never had a problem.

You must have a really cool wife... that or you are just bad at buying presents for women.

She is pretty cool... and that is what she wants. Not half bad cause it will be pretty cool to see her drive up in a clean lifted D-

Hey I'm kinda stupid, so please tell me what you mean by cranking your TB's 7 times? Also does this increase the lift over and above the 3" suspension lift. If so what is your total lift height?

Thanks in advance.

You can get 1 1/2" to 2" of lift by tighting the bolts on your torsion bar brackets - hence - cranking up the suspension. (FYI - they are located under the front driver's and passengers side & you will want to do this w/a breaker bar while the front wheels are off the ground. Do a search on this forum and there is a detailed write up somewhere...)

I'll do that search. Thanks
Oh yeah one more question. If I crank the torsion bars will that affect my drive shaft in other words will I have to get a longer one?

No, not even a 3" body lift and a 3" suspension lift will do that...put that thought way out of your mind unless you are going 10" or higher...
