Nos Solenoids Durability Question..

I have been told different things so I figured I'd ask. Does leaving a Nitrous system pressurized (like overnight) have any negative effects on the solenoids? I have heard "no," I have heard "it wears them out." I have around 15 extra feet of nitrous line coiled up and hidden under the carpet. It's getting expensive to purge the system before putting the Dak to bed every night. :wave:

Hmmm. I have been running nitrous on my truck for quite a while now, over a year atleast. I leave it pressurized sometimes and have never had a problem develop from doing so. I just wouldnt leave the bottle valve opened, i always closed it when i wasnt in the truck.

Yeah I close my bottle whenever I leave truck too. BTW :drive: Have you ever been ticketed for it? I'm curious what kind of fines and effects on my license for getting pulled over and busted for the "juice."

I've been pulled over and had state inspection done with the system installed and never been fined. I THINK that as long as you arent using it on the street or caught with the bottle open when or if you get pulled over you should be okay. I've asked some local law enforcement and that is pretty much what they told me, but i would check with your locals just to make sure.
