Anyone Know the 2002 engine codes?

Check engine light came on today on my 2002 SLT+ at 50,750 miles. Everything is running fine, oil pressure is good, temp is cool and the motor runs fine, so I was wondering if anyone knows the engine codes, and which pins I need to jump in the diagnostic plug to display them on the dash? I used to be able to do this in my 99, so I was hoping I could do it now.

im looking for the same, but have 2003 4.7l durango, need to find out how to get codes and what they are

I had the same problem on my 01 Durango. I did a search on the internet and found them. Just look under "Dodge engine codes". Also I've read that Auto Zone can read them for you and even clear them out. :evil:

To get a readout of the code, turn the ignition switch to the on position (without starting the vehicle) 3 times in a row. You will then see a code in the odometer gauge that will look like this; pxxxx
except the x's will be replaced by numbers.
Record the code. Then go to www.obdii.com, look up your code and it will give you a brief description of the problem. Or come back here with the code and someone will translate it for you.
