Hey guys, this is my first post here, I have been lurking for a few weeks (since I bought my truck). Anyways, I just installed a DJM 3/5 drop kit, and want to know what everybody else has experienced as far as turning radius. The control arms have a tab welded on the back that contacts the spindle to keep the wheel from turning all the way. Maybe with bigger wheels it would be an issue, but my stock 97 sport wheels look to have plenty of clearance  I'm just wondering if anyone else has done grinding on that tab before I try it. Thanks in advance

I have a DJM 3/3 drop on my D and start to wear down that little tab. I also have 20x8.5 rims with 245/35 rubber. A friend of mine grinded them off for me, I don't have any probables with my turning radius. Good luck.

Did he grind them completely off, or just enough to get the full turning radius back?

I had good turning raduis before we grinded them completely off.

you're supposed to grind them down...djm has instructions on their website "dakota control arms" under the tech tips.
