how much would a heater core cost to replace in my 98 durango?
also how much would a new heater core it self cost?
And how would I be able to it myself?

alot for your first question.
second question depends on where you get it. if a dodge part over $200. napa auto zone alot cheaper. I think around $50
to DIY unless you are comfortable removing your whole dash. then I wouldnt try it. the books say its a 8 hour job.
one question is your core leaking or you just dont have heat? if yo udont have heat try to back flush your heater core.

If i recall correctly, i believe i paid nearly $500 for the job, but it was a little while ago, the number could be a little off. I had coolant leak all over my interior :cussing:

my sister was quoted about $600 and that was about 2 years ago. went to a local shop and they did everything for $250.

Had my Evap Core (same basic place as your heater core) done around 300 at a Radiator shop here in town. Took him like 4 hours. I wouldn't recommend doing it unless you are prepared to mess with the A/C, pulling off the entire dash, and a few other small things.

well I ended up flushing the heater core and I have heat ..... for how long ? Idk but I guess when it warms up I wil do a real good thourouh flush so I will have to wait
