Lets say I wanted to go from my stock 3.55s to say 4.10s, what kinda price should I expect to pay a shop to do so? I also just noticed that I have a limited slip (from the glovebox sticker), can this be used in a gear swap? I know absolutely nothing about working on axles and gearing so this isnt something I want to attempt.

Order the parts from Randys Ring and Pinion and then just take it to a shop you trust and that will warr. the installation.

you can figure on spending 600~800 bucks for parts and labor!! But its sooo worth it! I'm pretty sure it was around 300~400 bucks for the parts, then its all labor from there... thats everything in the pumpkin! Seals, gears, LSD, the works!

Just make sure to break them in correctly and that you can def trust the shop. I had one shop do it, they installed them wrong, the went out, I complained, they said I didnt break them in correctly when I honestly did. So I got new parts and had a trustworthy shop do it! :biggthump

I have the gearsets w/ installation kits for $375 + shipping, Yukon... Shops run anywhere from $250-400--- so shop around.

I have the gears in stock.

Ok cool thanks, I'll keep it in mind. This is not something I am in any rush to do, just trying to get an idea what it would run when I am ready to do it. I;e only had the Durango for 3 days so far!

As a general rule, you can expect to pay about $500 per axle for everything.

Look around. Check with some of the other truck sites as well, and not just Dodges. I found a guy local to me who will do the install for $175 on a 2wd truck. I already had the gears. You can also check out 4wheelparts.com. I bought a ring and pinion and master install kit for around $250 shipped. It was on a special sale they had running last year, worked out pretty well. Gears were Genuine Gear brand, but I know a couple guys who have used them in the past with no problems, and the price was right.
