I have the stock ignition for the 5.9L (with the exception of the autolite 3923 plugs which are better for truck if you run a 180 degree thermostat) and was wanting to hear from you guys about what is the best ignition upgrades.

I Definitely want a high performance coil and 8.5 or 9mm wires but possibly I will get an entire aftermarket distributor.

MSD 6A or 6AL, Blaster III coil and 8.5 mm wires is what I upgraded to and seems to be what most people upgrade to that I have read.

Hope this helps

I have MSD 8.5mm wires, Accel brass cap/rotor, MSD BlasterSS coil, 6AL ignition module. Works well for me. If the SS coil dies I will probably put a Blaster 2 or 3 on instead.
