95 dakota sport v8. im driving down the highway its really dark and raining really hard and then my windshield whippers start acting up. they would come up and then go too far and the driver side one would go past the windshield and then all of a sudden they quit. now everytime i turn the knob for them i hear like a short kinda griding clickish sound from under the dash anyone shed some light here?

it could be a relay, but i dont know if there is a relay for wipers. check to see if there is and then check the wiper linkage...just my 2cents

if you cant find a used one, i am pretty sure shadow wiper motors work awswel

it's the linkiage bushing that conects the wiper motor to the linkiage. this breaks and allows the wipers to do whatever after it disconects it's a hour job to fix and a 5 dollar plastic part

WOOOOOT!!!! if its 5 bucks thats no big deal take care of it in autoshop today i apreciate all the help.
also i checked autozone website didnt find any such part. will i have to get this from a dealership or should any other autoshop have this?

I know Napa sells it. Mine rotted off a couple years ago. I used some rubber o-rings from the Home Depot plumbing section. Fit snug enough to keep it together. I meant it to be a temporary fix, but it has held up for a couple years now. I am pretty sure the Napa part is less than $5 too.

i figured it out it was those plastic bushing things got it for like 3bucks pack of 10 all different kinds havent ben able to finish it ran out of time in class do it tomarow but thanks abunch
