does anyone know the exact difference between the 96-99 and 00-01 dakota 5.2 and 5.9l supercharger kits from powerdyne? i know they changed a lil in 2000 but is there a big difference in the kit? and also jsut got a powerdyne sc from someone who had a/c. i dont have a/c and im not sure if the belt is gonna work. i know u can adjust the pulley but i dont want to install everything and not have the belt fit. anyone know? thnx

The only difference that I am aware of is the addition of an MSD 6BTM ignition. Brackets, pulleys and intake are the same. Not sure on the belt for a truck with no AC though. You should be able to take the length of the stock belt with AC, the one with no AC and the one Powerdyne uses and make a simple ratio to get the correct size belt. I think that would work, since you should be subtracting the same length from each belt to make up for the loss of the AC.

no no no no, the pulleys are diffrent sizes, i tried to get a belt for my Durango with a 318 with no A/C, my truck has A/C and the belt was too short, so the pulleys are diffrent sizes, but if ur getting a good price on the powdyne kit dont let something like a pulley or a belt stop you, youll just have to figure out how much boost ur makin with your current pulley setup and adjust with smaller or larger pulleys from there, or if you want real power go with a diffrent blower than powerdyne, powerdyne is the worst type of blower on the market, go with Vortech, Procharger, or kenne bell.... dont take me wrong, youll notice the powerdyne and all but dont expect too much from it

so i need a new belt right? i can just call powerdyne and tell them i deleted the a/c and need a new belt? i already purchased the kit, from a 99 for only 1500 bucks. and i have a 2000. and i have a msd 6a ignition. but other than that i should be alset right? i was gettin scared there was some major difference that wasnt gonna let me install it. so a belt for no a/c and i should be fine right?
