Happy Thanksgiving!
We like group buys. We can offer up all of our products at a discount (includes 58mm) with a group purchase. When youve got your group together, PM me for the details on pricing and shipping.

how many in this 'group' do you need? projected savings? these things would be very helpful in getting a proper group together.

BKBridges
11-27-2009, 10:35 PM
Yes, Yes...
The pricing varies with the size of the group! 10 or more and its full discount. I set the group leader up as a distributor and the distributor pricing list takes into effect. Usually a 25-35% discount over our advertised pricing. It depends on the "p/n" ordered. We will drop ship to the group via Fed Ex ground unless its other than a domestic shipment. We use USPS for international. Domestic shipping is $12.00 flat rate. International is location specific. pretty basic. smaller groups work the same except the pricing is our jobber rate + discount...
On another track... Im putting together an order for tee shirts right now. Any interest in those? White or black with the basic F&B logo on the back...

Looks good so far! The shirts are in process, but they are all "ash" color...We dont make shirts very often so well only have a dozen or so... L and XL I think...Should be done by the end of the week. We are almost out of stickers these days so we need to order up... what size is a good size? (I like the buisness card size stickers, but thats me..) Im out of the shop today and tommorrow, (till wed) so the point man for the GB needs to email me Wednesday with the list of TBs needed, and I will give him the total. He will collect the total and get it to me, and I will drop ship the goods. Point man gets a little extra for the trouble...

I sent a pm to 2dakotas about the new thread. He posted in the first thread that was in the wanted section. That was a while ago and maybe he doesn't want one anymore but if he still does he would be the tenth!

I am in for a 58mm if the price is right. Of coarse I can not commit to buy without knowing the price for sure.

IMO I think the price is right!

Bruce said it is 25-35% off of his advertised price.

The 58mm is 495 on his site so figure between 325-375 - I myself am thinking right around 350ish....which would be 30% off.....

Who is heading this up officially? Can you PM everyone asking for them some pricing? Lets get the show on the road :mullet: before people change their mind and back out :funny:

Todd

I saw that, but 325-375 is not a definate price. I am out if it is 375, but will be in if it is 325 ($50 can buy my nieces and nephews some nice gifts). It is not all about me and my truck, so $50 would make a difference in my decision. My truck currently has a 52mm fastman, but I would like to upgrade for when the Procharger goes on in a few weeks, so I am interested, but I will not pay more than I feel it is worth, or atleast worth to me at this time.

Let me re-phrase my question. What is the exact price for a 58mm + shipping?

I will have a 52mm Fastman one for sell if I can get the 58mm form F&B. Looking more for a used 52mm F&B, I might be in on the group buy, but it's looking more like Mid January for the funds. Using the stock TB for a week or two would be the easiest swap to make after the build is done.

OK,
Looks good! Weve got it all in stock ready to assemble and ship. Heres the next step: Have one person (the leader) PM me for pricing. Due to the unique mix of this build, additional discounts will apply, so I request that the pricing be PMd to the group and that it remain confidential...Once the leader has collected the funds, He paypals them to me with a list of the shipping addys. We ship. We can have it all shipped out by middle of next week if we can get the details going this week!

I think I read somewhere if you send the money as a "gift" on paypal, no fees are charged and you get the full amount. It would be easy just to paypal Bruce but if he wants it to go through the leader first then we could "gift" the money to the point man.

I think, if I'm not mistaken, that if you send it as a gift, the sender pays the fees, but if you don't send as a gift, the receiver pays the fees. I think the last time I sent it as a gift, it ended up costing $3-4 for a $200 transaction.

Oh, and I think he wants a point man, so that he knows he has an order of atleast 10 before he can agree on a price, and to make sure that he has a vendor, so to speak. Without a vendor, if only 5 or 6 people pay seperately, no one knows for sure how many have paid and may think that F&B is the one holding it up, which in turn wouldn't be the case. With a point man, all the orders go in together, and I am sure makes the invoicing and processing easier for them.

If you send funds as a gift, PayPal records it as no exchange of goods, as in no purchase. If you get stiffed....Too bad.

completely off topic, but I've been trying to figure out

Who needs a 52,55,52x55,58?

I'm building a 360, heads, mild cam, rockers unsure, M1 intake, shorty headers w/ full exhaust. It's a daily driver, and I want the power available for off road.

Thinking about jumping in for a 58mm. Not sure if its too big for my current setup though.. I have a 408 shortblock with stock heads/cam and then a 2bbl M1 and full Spintech exhaust. The GB just seems too good to pass up. Will the 58mm hurt my performance until I get heads/cam in there?

Our Website pricing doesnt always reflect the list or sugg retail. I should add those to the site. Weve been running a mini unadvertised sale on the website on a few different p/ns. the 58mm being one of em!

I think he was referring to how many have paid so far because Bruce said he would start to assemble the orders when he gets 10 payments. I am ready now. I said I wasn't in a hurry a couple days ago, but I got my intercooler piping and SC bracket back from powder coating, so I am ready now LOL.

So even though the GB will be open for an extra week after the 10 people have paid, will the first 10's TB's be getting shipped out while the others are jumping in over that extra week time frame? Im basically just curious as to when we can expect to get these. I ordered SCT with this TB being part of the tune.. just hoping I'll have this by the time my SCT arrives.

Hey,
:sickcold:Apologies for being away from the forum... The whole F&B shop was down with the vicious stomach bug for the past week. Ive been down hard since Sunday. Luckily we put the GB order together before we all got the crud. Bodies are all built, Tee shirts arrived last night, and I am still waiting for the new gaskets (should already be at the shop I hope)...More meat for 58mm TBS. If all goes well and I dont relapse we should have everything shipped out tommorrow.

We shipped the GB throttlebodies out on Friday afternoon via USPS. We had two problems... No gaskets, and we ran out of Large Tees. We substituted XLs for the Ls... We will mail the gaskets to you when we receive them...The Christmas season really slows things down...FYI, The Tshirts are individually hand screened by a friend of mine, and are a "limited run" of 30shirts...I couldnt get him to make more Ls since he bailed out to Florida for the holidays already..

Could you PM me a price on one of the used 70's for an 02 4.7? Cosmetics always play second fiddle to function in my book, and the stock ported 68 and the STILL stock exhaust are on my ever growing list of stuff to get replaced now that I'm not deployed or stationed overseas.

With the holidays and the weather throughout the midwest causing delays, it's probably going to take a little longer to get. Had something "overnighted" through UPS that took 4 days to get to me due to weather.

Should have is the key here... Im losing faith in the USPS. I sent all the gaskets out on the 23rd. They were all mailed back to me after Xmas. The post office thought the to was the from... I resent them (note the funny ripped address label etc. for those of you that got them) and this time only 3 came back to me... Not returned, but mailed back to me, the sender??? WTF. Ive been wrapped around the axle lately, but I am sending the last three out today with my apologies...
